Learn how to link your PDF menus, spec sheets, and catalogs to a scan-ready QR code. We show you how to generate one in under two minutes.
This video shows you how to turn a PDF into a QR code that people can scan instantly. We show you how to paste the link to a PDF you host elsewhere (for example, a Google Drive file shared as 'Anyone with the link'), customize the design to match your brand, and test it before you print.
Log into your QRTRAC dashboard and visit the Generator section.
Select this specific QR code type from the available options.
Enter your destination data (such as URLs, contact info, or app store links).
Customize the design with your brand colors, logo, and a clear call-to-action frame.
Generate, test the code on multiple devices, and download it in high-resolution SVG or PNG format.

If you print a static QR code, you can never change the PDF file link. With a dynamic QR code, you can swap out the PDF menu or brochure anytime without buying new print materials. You also see exactly how many people scanned it, when they scanned it, and what devices they used.
The code's link can't change. But if the PDF lives on Google Drive, uploading a new version of the same file (Manage versions) keeps the same share link, so the printed code opens the new version. Deleting the file and uploading a fresh copy creates a new link and breaks the code.
Yes. You can change the colors, pick different corner styles, and upload your company logo right to the center. Adding your own logo shows customers the scan is safe.
