How does instant nonprofit verification work on this page?
When you submit your EIN or organization name, we check it in real time against two independent sources at once — ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer and Every.org's Charity API, both built on IRS Form 990 filing data. Whichever responds first with a match is used, so a single source being slow or unavailable doesn't block a real check. If neither source can confirm a match, your submission is queued for manual review instead of being rejected outright.
Should I enter my EIN or my organization's name?
EIN is the faster, more precise path — it looks up your organization's federal tax ID directly against IRS filing records. Name search is the fallback for when you don't have your EIN handy, matching against public nonprofit databases by organization name instead.
Does my discount depend on which plan I pick?

How long does my nonprofit discount last once I'm verified?
For life. You verify once, and the 50% applies to every payment for as long as you remain a paying customer. There's no yearly re-verification, and it's not a one-time signup promo that only applies to your first invoice.
Does this work for NGOs and NPOs, or only 501(c)(3) nonprofits?
Yes — "nonprofit," "not-for-profit," "NGO" (non-governmental organization), and "NPO" (nonprofit organization) all describe the same category of tax-exempt organization for our purposes. If your organization is registered with the IRS as tax-exempt (or has an equivalent state or federal determination), you qualify for verification here.
What happens if the automatic check doesn't find my organization?
