01 Why is it called 'Interleaved' 2 of 5?
It's called interleaved because it encodes pairs of digits using both the bars and the spaces. The first digit is encoded in the bars, and the second digit is encoded in the spaces between those bars, making it exceptionally dense for numeric data.
02 Does ITF require an even number of digits?
Yes. Because digits are encoded in pairs (bars and spaces), the data string must have an even number of characters. If you have an odd number, a leading zero is typically added automatically.
