How do I remove the default link branding (qrtrac.com/...) from my Dynamic QR codes?

You can remove QRTRAC branding by connecting your own custom domain—a feature available starting from the Business plan. Once connected, your QR codes will display your custom domain instead of qrtrac.com URLs.

Can you support using a brand-specific custom domain like qr.seara.com/?

Yes, QRTRAC can support fully brand-specific custom domains for your QR codes. You can use any subdomain of your brand domain (e.g., qr.seara.com, links.yourbrand.com) to maintain complete brand consistency.

Is it possible to migrate over 400 active QR codes from another platform?

Yes, migration is possible, but success depends on whether your existing codes use your own custom domain or a third-party domain. If you're using your own custom domain, migration is straightforward. If using a vendor-provided domain, you'll need to coordinate with your previous provider to set up redirects.

When is QR code migration from another platform not possible?

Already printed QR codes cannot be migrated if they use a third-party domain (e.g., qrstud.io), as you are "locked in" to that provider's domain. However, if you're using your own custom domain, migration is always possible through subdomain-level redirection.

Why is using our own custom domain crucial for preventing "vendor lock-in"?

Using your own custom domain ensures you're not tied to one provider and can migrate your codes freely in the future. If you use a vendor-provided domain, you're locked into that platform. With your own domain, you maintain control and flexibility to switch providers without reprinting QR codes.

What is the recommended process for bulk migration to QRTRAC?

You can: 1) Add QRTRAC as a member to your existing QR platform (e.g., Bitly), or 2) Download all QR codes and send them to QRTRAC in a ZIP file for import. Our support team will guide you through the migration process to ensure all codes are properly transferred.

What should I do if already printed codes cannot be migrated?

Continue using the existing printed codes until they expire, but create all new codes with QRTRAC using your own custom domain. This ensures future codes are portable and not locked to any vendor.

Can I migrate my old QR codes but keep the Bitly domain property on the QRTRAC platform?

Yes, it's possible to bulk create codes on QRTRAC while maintaining Bitly-owned domain URLs. However, we recommend migrating to your own custom domain to avoid vendor lock-in and gain full control over your QR codes.

Which plan is recommended for custom domain use and branding removal?

May I know how the dynamic code works?

Dynamic QR codes allow you to change the destination URL after the code is printed. They redirect through our servers, enabling real-time updates and analytics tracking. Unlike static codes, dynamic codes can be edited anytime without reprinting.

What's the difference between static and dynamic QR codes? Which one should I use?

Static QR codes have fixed content and cannot be changed after creation. Dynamic QR codes allow URL changes and provide analytics. Use dynamic for campaigns that may need updates, tracking, or analytics. Use static for permanent, unchanging content where tracking isn't needed.

Can I edit the destination URL of a QR code after it's been printed and distributed?

Yes, with dynamic QR codes you can edit the destination URL anytime, even after printing. The same QR code will redirect to the new URL without needing to reprint or redistribute the code.

I will create our own form for registration for the event and send out a auto reply msg with the QR code generated in Qrtrac, but if I want each customer with their unique code, do I have to dl t one by one?

Do you offer API access so I can integrate QR code creation into my own application?

May I know the 2500 Dynamic QR Codes means for each customer or outlets?

The 2500 Dynamic QR Codes limit applies per account, not per customer or outlet. You can create up to 2500 dynamic QR codes in total across all your campaigns and use cases.

What happens if I exceed my QR code limit for the month? Will I be charged extra or will it stop creating new codes?

When you reach your QR code limit, you'll be notified and can either upgrade your plan or wait until the next billing cycle. Overage charges may apply on some plans. Contact support for assistance with plan upgrades.

Can I set an expiration date for my QR codes so they stop working after a certain date?

So if i renew the qr code is going to be available once again right?
